Making the most of their time in Goa, the team of Homi Adjania’s next seems to have enjoyed every aspect of the beach state, including the local delicacies. We’ve been told that during the shoot of the film, Deepika Padukone found a local Goan culinary expert, and would order authentic Goan cuisine wherever the unit was shooting.
A unit member of Finding Fanny reveals, “It first started with ordering Goan food on the sets, but that would warrant a siesta after the team had gorged on all the delicacies. Following a couple of these naps, the producer (Dinesh Vijan) decided that the over-eating should happen only after wrapping up the day’s work, or it would be impossible to shoot for 36 days. So, everyone would come back from a hectic day of shooting, and Deepika’s team would have a Goan spread laid out for us.”
We got to know that everyone — from Arjun Kapoor to Naseeruddin Shah — enjoyed the local food. The source adds, “Considering the fact that the cast was dressed like the locals and spoke like them, too, eating the local food just added to the entire feel of the film. And since most of the cast and crew are foodies, they were okay with letting go of their diet regimes every now and then.”
